13 -Days Meru National Park
Day 1 Nairobi – Meru National Park
Depart after breakfast for Meru National Park. A wide range of wildlife including elephant, hippopotamus, lion, leopard, cheetah, reticulated giraffe, and zebra. The bird life is also impressive and there are roughly 280 recorded species. After lunch you can spend some time on your hill view verandah, before enjoying an extended afternoon game drive. Overnight at the exclusive Elsa Kopjes
Day 2 – Meru National Park – Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast in the morning travel by road to Kenya’s northern frontier of Samburu the Wild and rugged which is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 3 – Samburu Game Reserve
After an early morning breakfast you will be off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in your cozy camp or Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 4 – Samburu Game Reserve – Tree lodge (Aberdare or Mountain tree Lodge)
After breakfast depart for Forest Tree Lodge in the Aberdares National Park/Mt. Kenya National park arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon transfer to Forest Tree Lodge for floodlit game viewing. Overnight at Treetops Lodge or the Ark or the Serena Mountain Lodge
Day 5 – Forest Tree Lodge – Nakuru National Park
After breakfast travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renowned and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 6 – Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast we overland to papyrus-fringed Lake Naivasha. With over 400 species of bird, this freshwater lake is a birding Paradise. Along the lake’s fabled waters, we are bound to see some of the area’s more intriguing species—hippos, giraffes, buffalo and even the arboreal colobus monkey. Lake Naivasha lies in the Great Rift Valley.
After lunch we visit Crescent island — a private sanctuary, where you can walk beneath yellow-barked acacias (yellow fever trees) in search of giraffes, wildebeest , impala , dikdiks, Thompson’s and grant’s gazelles, elands, waterbucks and countless bird species. Also there are some rather gigantic pythons too. We are allowed to walk with the animals too. An optional boat ride on the lake reveals many water bird species and schools of Hippos. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 7 – Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara Game Reserve
After a leisure breakfast at Naivasha depart overland to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at your camp/Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 8 – Discover Maasai Mara
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues during extensive game runs.During your stay your also have an optional opportunity to visit the Maasai village. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 9 – Maasai Mara – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park. Take a lunch break is served enroute in Nairobi before continuing by road to Amboseli National Park. The Park is famous for the big herds of elephants and view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Once in the Amboseli National Park you’ll have time to relax or enjoy the sun heated swimming pool before leaving for another game drive this afternoon. You will be back in good time for a warm shower or a cocktail before dinner is served. . Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 10 – Amboseli National Park
Two game drives are scheduled for this day. The open flat plains are ideal places to search for pride of lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeests. The swamps are good places to catch the elephants as they bath in the mud. There is a wealth and diversity of birds’ species. Also, discover the African Culture by visiting a local Maasai Village. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 11 –AmboseliNational Park – Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart by road to Tsavo National Park. The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. It’s famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and bird life. Other notable features include Mzima Springs which are water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow and Ash cones, which is an example of recent volcanic eruption. Movie the Ghost and the Darkness was shot here. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 12 – Tsavo West / Tsavo East
Visit the mzima springs enroute to Tsavo East National Park where hippos and crocodiles can be seen swimming in the clear waters. Afternoon game drive in Tsavo East National part set after setting up camp meals and overnight at camp/lodge.
Day 13 – Tsavo West – Mombasa or Nairobi
Morning game drive to savour the beauty of the park, return to the camp / lodge for breakfast. After, depart for Mombasa or Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
